I went into school yesterday to hand in my final stuff (IT”S OVER!!) and my design teacher stopped me and said ‘I have a question for you’. ‘Uh oh’ think I, thinking I’d forgotten an assignment.
‘You knit fingerless mittens, don’t you?’
‘…yes’
‘I’d like to comission a pair’.
Turns out my friend Ashley (who I made a pair for last year) had been in earlier, wearing hers, and Allan’s wife had seen them and raved about them, so Ashley told her where she got hers. And now I’m making another pair. I’m not entirely certain if they’re for Allan’s wife or daughter, but they’re stretchy, so it doesn’t really matter. His wife isn’t much bigger than me, and I’m sure his daughter (14) is smaller. The only odd thing is that his wife teaches costume shop, so I’m making a garment for someone who spends all day doing just that. eek.
I’ve got tons of pics of things on my camera that I just need to upload. Now the crazy last month of school is over, I actually have time.
