Yes, the secret clue in yesterday’s post was the little corner you could see of my iPhone!

I have wanted an iPhone since Apple first announced them, but they only became available in Canada in July. I was very, very poor over the summer, so I didn’t even think about it. Then one day in September, I was extolling the iPhone’s virtues to my parents, when mum suggested that that might be a good Christmas present for me! Of course it would be!

It was finally close enough to Christmas for me to justify phoning Fido and getting all that sorted out, and after a bit of a kerfuffle, my 16GB white iPhone arrived. Getting the iPhone also involved me buying OS X Leopard (because I was still back in the dark ages with Panther) but the updates got done, I didn’t lose anything, and I have my favourite new toy.

I’ve already used the grocery list app I downloaded (Grocery IQ, but I got it on sale for $1.99), I love playing WordWarp, Stanza (the ebook app that lets you download free books from Project Gutenberg and a few other places) has come in so handy while waiting around, Dicenomicon has amused everyone at D&D…. I could go on. But by far the most useful app to mention for the people who read this blog is: StitchMinder.

I’ve done 2 pattern repeats, and am on row 3 of the next on my newest pair of socks! You get 4 counters, and can label them various things like ‘Decrease repeat’ and all that. I’m just using the two for these socks.

Socks to be featured in tomorrow’s post!
